A Quick Update….

Its been a long long time since my last update. Id like to say it was because I was busy as a bee, but I was just being lazy. Halloween is right around the corner and Im getting a huge itch for creativity. Ive collaborated my magical skills with my twin  Kaylyn[in spirit] who is just as crazy about the beauty industry as I am. We are now taking appointments for costume makeup, so if you want to be a gross looking flesh eatting zombie or a hot ass pinup gal be sure to get in contact with us [lil.miss.glamor@gmail.com OR facebook.com/littlemissglamor. We can do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING and we are the most reasonably priced hair and makeup artists in the area.

As for the website, I know its taking longer than expected but you cant rush perfection. Kaylyn and I both have soo many ideas and we just want to make sure you will love it as much as us……so until than……

…..Lots of love!

Review For BH Cosmetics 120 Pallet

I’m a bright and bubbly kinda gal, so when I started watching makeup tutorial videos on YouTube, I knew I had to get one of the large eyeshadow pallets I always see the gurus use. I did a little research and decided to go with BH Cosmetics. For months I would tell everyone and their grandmother how badly I wanted/needed one of their pallets. And thanks to my dear friend Ashley, I received the BH Cosmetics 120 color pallette [#01], for my birthday a month ago. Boy, was I stoked! I couldnt wait to try out all the awesomeness it contained.

The makeup comes in this little black 9 x 6 box, and on the back it has a few pictures of the other pallets they sell. I want them all.

If you notice in the second pic I’m pointing at the 01. Why you ask? BH cosmetics now had 3 different 120 eyeshadow pallets. The first edition [the one I have] is very bright and colorful. There are only a few neutral colors in the bunch. The second addition is still very bright but with more neutrals and toned down a few notches. I notice a lot more shimmer ones added in as well. The third pallet is one I’m definitely going to save my money for because it has 60 fabulous neutral tones and 60 warm but soft spring/summer colors. Each edition comes with both matte and shimmer shadows, which I personally enjoy.

As you open the shadow box you only see 60 of the 120 colors. But when you lift up the first bunch, the other 60 are hiding safely underneath.

I have been using this pallet and ONLY this pallet for a month now and I really couldn’t be happier with this product. Ive done so many different looks, and the possibilities are endless for an unbelievably fair price of $29.95. Each color is super pigmented so a little goes a very very long way, especially when you are priming your lids with a good base. I have heard a few people say that blending can be difficult with colors but I have not had a problem with that. You just need a little patience and a good brush. All in all I give the pallet AND BH cosmetics a 9.5 out of 10 [1=boo, this sucks, 10=holy shit your awesome] for their great packaging and amazing product @ a great price. I most certainly will be getting more things from them.

Winter Wonderland

I have recently become best friends with some of the greatest people on the planet. We refer to ourselves as The Army of Awesome. We generally get together every Tuesday-have a fire, a few drinks, and many laughs. Last night we decided we were going to have a Winter Wonderland theme to our gathering [since its been so ridiculously cold out for no reason in the middle of May]. Ive been dying to have an excuse to go above and beyond a regular face of makeup-this was my opportunity. I covered my face, neck, ears, and chest in a covergirl shimmery teal eyeshadow and added a mix of silver and white as highlights to my cheekbones and cupids bow. My eyes were done with the BH cosmetics 120 makeup pallet in soft crystal blues and dark greys. I lined them with a black and navy blue gel liner and coated heavily on the mascara. I applied a mixture of light blue pigment and vaseline to my lips. My eyebrows and snowflakes were painted on with silver acrylic paint and than topped off with a number of crystals. After I added light blue acrylic paint to my hair I stepped back and was in awe of myself. I truly looked like an ice queen. As each guest arrived my self esteem kept getting a huge boost. It was good to have honest friends appreciate my work of art, even if I did creep them out a bit.
